I first photographed Deborah Martorell during a full VIP Day, a session where we captured her vision, presence, and purpose as a trailblazing communicator and scientist.

Deborah made history this year when Blue Origin selected her to go to space, making her the world's first meteorologist to do so.

And once again, she trusted me to create the images that would help the world see and celebrate her.

This wasn't a surprise collaboration. We both knew what these portraits were for.

They were crafted intentionally to announce one of the most powerful moments of her career and of global significance.
